1. Modern
Homes in this style feature clean lines, a simple color palette, and often, metal, marble, or glass finishes. Clutter is kept at a minimum and simplicity is valued above all. There’s a place for everything, and everything has its place. Additional features of these homes include flat rooflines, horizontal windows, and open floor plans.
2. Farmhouse
It’s a common misconception that farmhouse style is an exclusively southern trend. These tin-roofed beauties are loved all over the country, and even more so with Chip and JoAnna Gaines’ rise to fame. On the exterior, farmhouse style homes often feature white wood siding, large porches, and rectangular foundations. Inside, you will find hardwood floors, shiplap, reclaimed wood, a variety of textures, and a unique mingling of rustic and modern accents.
3. Minimalist/Scandinavian
This style takes modern a step further. The color palette is even simpler, sometimes only featuring the color white with a couple colorful accent pieces. Decor is kept at a minimum, but pieces are chosen carefully and are sure to be unique and purposeful. Functionality is king.

This style showcases worn and distressed furnishings, warm colors, and ornate wood pieces. French Country can sometimes pop up in Farmhouse designs and vice-versa. In the kitchen, you will find ornate porcelain and in the bedrooms, heavy linens.
8. Bohemian
With this style, there are no rules. Decor should simply be chosen based on what you like. The mixture of colors, textures, and styles is what makes it bohemian. These homes often feature vintage pieces and textiles from all over the world. Every style listed above can be combined; anything goes. These spaces often combine neutrals and bright colors, glam light fixtures with worn floor coverings, and unique seating.
9. Glam
Glam is over-the-top and shiny. It’s dramatic, with bold statement pieces, plush furniture, and jewel tone colors like reds and purples. Victorian design and velvet are cornerstones of glam.
10. Coastal
This style can be summed up in one word: airy. Reminiscent of the laid-back attitude of beach communities, coastal style features neutrals, blues, and greens. White furniture and accents are instrumental to opening the space up. Stripes and painted white wood are also popular. Exteriors are similar with a hint of southern flair—porches, wide windows, and balconies.
